The class is designed to be informative, fun, and a full project. We'll make a total of 12 blocks before assembling the final product. The class will be held every two weeks so that we can finish by December 2024.

Bring an armload of scraps in a tub or box. Your "strings" should be no wider than 2-1/2" and no narrower than 3/4". They don't have to be straight and can be any length. You won't use them all but you'll want a variety of prints, textures, and colors. If you want a controlled colorway, chose some scraps based on that. For example, you might want all blues, all Halloween, or all batiks.

If you don?t have a ruler, you can use the one in the classroom to decide if you are ready to make the investment. For this project, you will need small pieces of several different fabrics for the blocks and a background fabric that is a good contrast to the blocks. The pattern includes 3 sizes - a mini wall hanging, a table runner, and a baby quilt size.
